Ford has yet to announce a specific release date for the 2018 Mustang. But, rumor has it that production on the new model is set to begin in October making it likely that the Mustang will be released in late fall or winter of this year. When the 2018 Ford Mustang is released, it’s expected that the starting MSRP will be slightly lower than previous model years. Best estimates put the 2018 Ford Mustang’s starting MSRP at $26,485 and the 2018 Ford Mustang GT’s starting MSRP at $35,995.

What to Expect
Aside from the new Good Neighbor Mode, car shoppers interested in the 2018 model can expect significant changes to the exterior and under the hood of the new Mustang. On the outside, we are expecting to see new LED lighting, a lower hood, and an addition to the available color options with an orange hue called Orange Fury. Under the hood, the 2018 Mustang is expected to drop the V6 engine coming equipped with a base 2.3-liter EcoBoost Turbo engine. A new 10-speed transmission is also expected to be available.
