The all-new 2019 Chevy Silverado includes a long list of new features and amenities, but perhaps the most useful is a completely updated truck bed that Chevy has coined Durabed. Learn more about the 2019 Silverado’s new Durabed dimensions and features below.
“The bed is the heart and soul of any pickup, so we made several improvements to the bed of the all-new Silverado to give our customers an even better hauling experience. We’ve added so many features and benefits that it deserves its own name – Durabed,” said Tim Herrick, executive chief engineer, Full-Size Trucks, General Motors.

2019 Silverado Durabed Dimensions and Features
Like previous Silverado truck beds, the new 2019 Silverado’s Durabed is available in short box, standard box, and long box configurations. All three configurations have a larger amount of usable space for the 2019 model year and have grown by at least 10 cubic feet. Most of that usable space has come from widening the truck bed by about seven inches. The 2019 Silverado’s short box offers 63 cubic feet of truck bed space while the standard bed offers 72 cubic feet of space and the long bed offers 89 cubic feet of space.
Updates to the high-strength steel used to craft each Silverado truck bed help to make the Durabed more resistant to scratches and dents than ever before.
