Under the hood, the 2022 Kia Telluride gets a 3.8-liter Lambda V6 engine that makes 291 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. torque. The engine is paired with an electronically- controlled eight-speed automatic transmission and is available in standard front-wheel-drive; all-wheel-drive is optional in all trims.


All the trim levels have a 10.25-inch touchscreen display with Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay®, Bluetooth® wireless Technology, and USB ports as standard. In addition, the LX, S, and EX get six speakers, and the SX trim gets Harman Kardon® 10- speaker Premium Audio with Clari-Fi™, External Amplifier, and a subwoofer. Also available is a 110-volt power inverter and wireless smartphone charging; the EX and SX trim get Driver Talk, enabling the driver's voice to be amplified via speakers in the rear seats for better communication.


As far as safety is concerned, Kia has loaded the 2022 Telluride with a bunch of driver-assistance technology like forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist as standard in all trims. Also, there are various upgraded assists, including a 360-camera, automatic high-beams, and a Blind-Spot View Monitor.
